Honestly, I forgot I even had this clip in the stash but as I played “Nobody’s Perfect” (feat. Missy Elliot) for the 100th time, it hit me. Before his last listening session, Cole and I actually talked about how he would feel if his album hit the ‘Net before its scheduled release date. I can see into the future, yo. ha.

be careful what you wish for… I was criticizing that J Cole wasn’t more involved in the social media/public relations mix giving us insight into his project and personality; now I’m just sick of the lead up to his project. I’m ready to hear his album! lol

^J. Cole produced Breakdown, along with most of the album except for Can’t Get Enough & Never Told. Give the boy some credit, hes a beast on the boards too

it’s cool. but he raps about girls/women all the time.
is it just me? i’m not tryna be funny.. i haven’t really analyzed the album deeply or anything. but on the first listen it seems like he’s always rapping about chicks.

where you been at? haven’t you listened to Cole before? Cole raps about two things: chicks and being on the come up.
His fan-stans are gonna act like he’s some versatile Nas-like prodigy who’s unfairly slept on when in reality he’s just another one-dimensional-ass rapper with his own niche fanbase.
“Nobody’s Perfect” has a dope beat though. I’ll ‘sleep’ on Cole until he makes music worth hearing. Nobody’s Perfect is more like it, but I’m still snoring. Dude is just not versatile enough or saying anything interesting with any real rap skill.
