Frank Ocean Serenades at Coachella 2012 Debut (Full Video)

All eyes were focused on Frank Ocean as the singer made his Coachella debut on Friday night. A packed crowd (including our own Mikey Fresh) made their way to the Gobi tent to watch Frank perform such cuts off his critically-acclaimed Nostalgia, Ultra mixtape. The performance didn’t go without a few hiccups as Frank cut his set several times due to various sound problems. Despite the sound issues, fans in person and those watching via live stream got to hear songs such as “Strawberry Swing,” “Swim Good,” and “Novacane.” While his Odd Future crewmate Tyler, the Creator joined in for “Analog 2.” Frank also used the opportunity to perform newer material like “Thinking About You,” “Whip Appeal,” and “Voodoo.”

this is why some of the best performers always say study and practice your craft you should have something planned before you walk on stage instead of just walking around aimlessly but give him sometime he’ll become a better performer

Awesome that he opened his set with such a rare Bob Dylan song, “Long Time Gone.” Shows he respects his musical elders, and it seems strangely appropriate for him somehow. Sorry the set was so uneven, no doubt due to the sound issues, but with a little more experiece this guy’s destined to be a transcendent heavyweight.
