Drake Says Rihanna Was the First Celeb to Hit on Him…and More Interview Revelations
Posted by Mikey Fresh under quotes , relationships and family[17] Comments
Drake’s brief fling still seems to be a hot topic on the blogs. And from Elle’s recent interview, it seems to have been a real life heartbreak for Drizzy. He broke down how they first met and how much he really cared for her.
Drake on getting hurt by Rihanna
“At the time it hurt, but she didn’t mean to. I’ll never put that on her. I was hurt because I slowly started to realize what it was. I guess I thought it was more. That was the first girl with any fame that paid me any mind. You spend days reading about this person in magazines. All of a sudden you have this number-one song and you’re at some birthday party and there she is. And you’re just some naive kid from Toronto staying in some shitty-ass hotel who got invited to this party on a whim. That’s just how it happened.”
On the music side of things, Fader spent some time with 40 and Drake in the studio and got the jump on his collabo with Andre 3000 for Take Care.
Drake received a call from Andre 3000, who said he wanted to get on the rapper’s next LP—and, specifically, on a beat made by 40. The original name of the instrumental was “Good Enough for the Both of Us.”
Drake talks about being lonely, his Twitter marriage to Nicki, Threesomes and more after the jump…
Drake on being lonely
When you’re on the road and moving city to city, when someone isn’t there at the end of the night, you feel empty. The 15 or 20 seconds after a man reaches his climax is the realest moment he’ll ever have in his life. And if you happen to be with somebody that isn’t someone you want to converse with, you start feeling like, I wish I was just here watching True Blood by myself.”
On his fake Twitter marriage to Nicki Minaj:
I don’t know if we were really pretending. I’d marry Nicki. I think Nicki would be one of the only people that would understand me at the end of all of this and be able to love me.
On bringing girls home to mom:
The most intense thing I’ve ever done was bring a girl to Passover dinner. [My mom] just wants me to be happy, but I’m sure she’d love it if I married a Jewish girl.
On receiving naked pictures:
If you send them without me asking, it’s like, You’ve done this before. But I’m away a lot. If there’s a woman I’m into, I might want to get a picture from her to handle business myself, as opposed to doing something I might regret.
On if he’s had a threesome:
I’ve never had one. I swear. I’m a one-woman kind of guy.
ATF posted clips of Drizzy’s recent interview with Big Boi.
Part 1 – Carter IV’s 1st week numbers, being an iconic character/artist & dressing up as Drake for Halloween.
Part 2 – Who would Drake rather save if he was stranded in the ocean with Nicki Minaj & Lil Wayne?
Part 3 – Being a part of a winning team & Young Money’s friendly competition.

DRIZZY IS RUNNING THE GAME RIGHT NOW!!! Right now he’s outshining Wayne. I wish Birdman wasn’t such a hater of classic hip-hop. Birdman is blocking Drake from releasing the 9th Wonder and DJ Premier joints from Take Care and it sucks a$$. Baby/Birdman could at least allow him to release those tracks as bonus cuts. C’monn Baby we don’t always want pop records from Drake. Listen to his Comeback Season mixtape. He raps on some gutter beats. It’s not all top 40 stuff. It’s the mixture of soft and hard shit that has made him popular. If you remove the harder joints he just sounds fluffy and soft. We need both elements from Drizzy.

I always want to hand Drake a tampon uggghhh!! Man up already (yes I can appreciate a man expressing himself but he has been crying over Rihanna forver) I stans for Maxwell but even he doesn’t come off this extra super sensitive BUT I do like some of Drake’s music his songs are catchy and radio friendly.

drake is an artist (actor, writer, etc…), maybe you just don’t understand creative people(men). look at tupac(drama school, writer, actor, etc…). if you think pac was all gruff thug, then you’d be mistaken.
rihanna would’ve been lucky to have known more of drake, then to have just been his first starf-ck. also, maybe rihanna is just used to crude, dullards, instead of an introspective young man. drake is black and jewish. do you really think he’s going to act like some simple ass guy from some podunk hood?

You made alot of assumptions so it looks like you are the one who is mistaken. Anyway Tupac and Drake not even in the same league. Yes, I know Drake is Jewish. I never said he had to act like “a simple ass guy from podunk hood”. I don’t care about Drake being an actor/rapper etc that has nothing to do with me being tired of him crying a river over Rihanna. I think he does for PR purposes anyway.

Don’t ever use Tupac as an analogy to compare to drake to artistically ever again lol.
I get what you saying hes versatile in entertainment but as a writer…come on now lol And for the record drake looks like the kind of guy in H.S that girls would use momentarily to get lunch money from then ignore him after school lol this rhianna inside info doesn’t surprise me at all

i wasn’t comparing tupac and drake as artists, i was examining the concept of “what is manly or accepted masculine behavior vs what some people consider weak, or “sensitive”". my point was that creative people are very sensitive, and it isn’t a bad thing (where do you think that passion to create art comes from?). personally, i don’t follow much of drake, so i was just talking about this specific interview ,in which he discussed his thoughts on his first interaction with rihanna.
my other point was that tupac came from a similar artistic base as drake; not that drake and tupac are, somehow, artistic equivalents.
i’m an artist–not a famous multimillionaire performer, like drake–but i can understand where he’s coming from, with respect to artistry. sometimes you want to be able to share the artistic, creative part of yourself with people, but unless you’re around other, actual, artists then you end up looking like an oddball.
i also understand that, sometimes, people don’t want to hear all that artsy-fartsy stuff, and that there’s a time and a place for it.
rihanna might be very artsy, but maybe, at that particular time, she just wanted to get banged. lol. i get it. however, perhaps drake was just too young at that time to get it, as well. nevertheless, he still “got it”, which goes to everyone’s point. /rant
