INFO – you have some really good questions.

I don’t know the history of civil suit payouts against the City of NY, but the difference between the criminal burden of proof of “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” and the civil burden of proof of “A Preponderance of the Evidence” is substantial. So much so that a conviction is not necessary to win a civil case. A famous example is OJ Simpson – he was acquitted of the criminal charges but lost the civil suit. But that’s California, this is NY and I’m not a practicing criminal trial lawyer.

What I dont understand, Michael Vicks gets 23 months jailtime for fighting dogs, but the 3 detectives get off for killing sean bell, a human being.

R.I.P Sean Bell.

What those police officers did to him was inhumane and disgraceful. The Justice Dept. should stop trying to save their face in the public eye and bring those responsible to justice.

this type of incidents make me feel sick to my stomach. Race is a sensitive issue in America and throughout the world and this does not set a good precedent over similar cases in future because this is not the end of such incidents.

Next it could be you are someone close to you that gets murdered by those supposed to maintain law and order. My condolences to the Bell family.

Yea co-sign izza on the uk front, I just hope that the whole issue doesn’t get forgotten about in the next 2/3 weeks. With the likes of Nas and Talib talking about it then it should reach more people – and I heard Game is releasing a song which ought to spread knowledge of the issue even further….hate to think of it as a publicity stunt though

Really would like if you could post this.i try to make it my BI to listen to street soldiers but last night i was on issforums trying to flip some kicks (my small addiction). Im sure you did your thing regaurdless,i was really pissed over the weekend about this situation but it is our society we live in is just Fcuk up.Ugggh
