There’s no place to test if you’ve made it in hip-hop than New York City. On Tuesday night, Machine Gun Kelly returned to Rucker Park in Harlem for a mini-show at this year’s Entertainer’s Basketball Classic. Aside from bringing out guest Bun B, with Maino, Vado, and Fred The Godson looking on, MGK commanded the crowd of die-hard streetball fans causing chaos when her performed “Wild Boy.” MGK didn’t leave without performing a fresh verse he had just written minutes before climbing the rims at The Rucker. Easy to say, Harlem loved him and he’s here for a while.
Watch MGK’s above the rim performance below…..

Can’t knock his hustle. He really performs. No loud backtracks, no pacing the stage, he just goes in, and on the RIM at Ruckers, crazy

AM I SUPPOSED TO LIKE THIS BECAUSE OF THE REPETITION OF”MOTHAFUCKA”? OR SUPPOSED TO RESPECT IT MORE THAN I DO BECAUSE HE CAME TO HARLEM? I ALSO DIDN’T APPRECIATE THE SPATIAL DYNAMIC BETWEEN HIS POSITION UPON THE HOOP-THRONE AND THE COCOA SEA BELOW, THAT’S JUST ME THOUGH.

He gets a thumbs up for energy and taking advantage of the moment. The actual rhyming wasn’t much of anything.
This reminds of an old Wu interview when INS and GZA were talking about how, “Anyone can rap the same word over & over”….
