Webster’s Last Show In 2017

When the iconic NYC venue Webster Hall closed its doors after being sold to AEG Presents and Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment in 2017, many music lovers in the Big Apple felt it was the end of an era. An official statement was made shortly after by Webster’s director of operations, Gerard McNamee. He stated;

Webster Hall will be closed for an undisclosed period of time for demo, reno, and transition to corporate ownership under Barclays/AEG/Bowery Presents.”

Now, it’s been confirmed the venue is slated to re-open this year. On New Year’s Eve, Webster Hall’s official social media accounts released a video captioned, “See ya in 2019!” A newsletter was also sent yesterday, stating;

While updates are still underway, we are pleased to say that Webster Hall will return in Spring 2019.”

Stay tuned as more details emerge on the reopening but this sure is great news for all music fans alike.
