Ice-T’s anti-Soulja Boy* rant at Rock the Bells
Posted by Miss Info under beef , concerts , videos[19] Comments
Amidst all the Joe Budden vs. Wu-Tang pre-game tension, this Ice-T virulent rant about hip hop’s “crack babies” went without barely a peep. Luckily DJ Ness hit me about, and both he and Mikey caught it on tape when Ice came onstage as a guest during DJ Premier’s set. The rant part was a bit much, but the freestyle…surprisingly hard.
*yeah, he doesnt name SB specifically, but the talk of the internet rappers and colorfulness etc recalls that epic but then not-so-epic war of words between Ice and Soulja. Gah!

I didn’t hear him mention Soulja Boy specifically. I agree 100% with Ice-T’s view on current rappers. T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Drake and Kanye West may have some skill, but they’re still considered pop tart rappers around my way.

I’m impressed. I didn’t expect that from him at this stage. Don’t sleep on the OG.

Tell that shit to Gay La Soul, Kwame, and Kid and Play! Hell Queen Latifah was a big butch bitch! Not a Queen at all but a bootleg King! There was enough soft Niggaz in his own generation so he is foul! Like he can’t get shot! Nigga go back to playing a cop punk! I don’t respect a Nigga that always is running behind a white bitch! This Nigga is a fraud! I also would like to reach through the internet, but only to slap this clown! Ain’t Ice T sweet like cool aid?

cosign….in fact, Big Daddy Kane once said that back in the day, De La were considered troublemakers on the club scene. I love that dichotomy!

That freestyle was on point. These new rappers really need to get a clue. They dont rap about anything but all think they are so hard and so cool. I wish many of the old school rappers would come back- the ladies too.

the conditions that created these rappers is not da same. our music was fueled by uncontrollable crime rates, drugs etc. crime is at an all time low. crack aint wAt it was in da 80’s n 90’s. most of these conditions still exists just not as bad as it was for us

Yall gonna leave this sh!t alone. He was just giving his opinion on the matter. Soilder Boy should bow down to Ice for paving the way. It’s like when your father yells at you, you dont talk back. For the record, Mr. Chernak was in the background checking Decks Show CD. (Tan Shirt Gucci Sunglasses) Get at me C.M.G. 5 Star General in the building

Ok…who wrote that for Ice-T…Lol…if he still had skills like that he’d still have a rap career…unless that’s his “go-to verse”…lol…shit was on point though…although his rant actually pinpointed about 98% of the audience @ Rock The Bells…

Yo cuzz. Ice can still out rap 98% of these niggaz from then and now. The nigga got a total of 10 gold and platinum albums! Not ringtones. Homie’s on TV makin 100k a week. Why keep rappin when everyone knows the music bizz is starvin. Don’t sleep on these West Coast riders. Especially our OGs like Ice T and Cube. People hate Ice because he’s RAW. That’s why the WEST loves him. Wasn’t that show in NYC?? Come on nigga stop frontin in Iceberg. He went in and you can tell he meant that shit! Young Loc Rollin 60s Crip Gang.

Ice is a fuckin legend bruh…I’m 38 yrs old….I rep this Hip Hop shit all sides…The part about who wrote that was a joke (hahha) my point was he went in and it surprised me how much he went in. Even though Ice spit that gangster shit he never been the most lyrical cat in hte game, even you gotta admit that, so again this kinda shocked me..my other point is the internet gangsters he was talking about were the majority of the audience at that show.
No beef, just a lil clarity.
Peace.

Like Ice said. Beef usually results in drama. Save that for real shit not dumb rap shit. Ice, real niggaz know what your speakin on. Bitch ass motherfucka always wanna try and start shit they ain’t in. My nigga bridged the gap between the East and the West.. How G is that!
Fuck what you heard.. Ice is a West Coast G 4 LIFE!!
