iamsu

Just a day after the deluxe edition of his Million Dollar Afro collaboration with Problem hit iTunes, and less than a month after its initial free release, we get a new track from the Bay’s Iamsu! with “Ferrari.” The drop comes courtesy of its producer Traxamillion, who steers ‘Su’s melodic bars with a sparse and bassy beat. Whether he makes XXL‘s Freshman ’13 class or not, we’re expecting big things from this West Coast native in the year ahead. (Via Sermon’s Domain)

Listen to Iamsu!’s “Ferrari,” plus more new music from Hudson Mohawke and… after the jump…

New Music: Busta Rhymes Feat. Reek Da Villian & J-Doe “Chill”

conglomerate

Following last year’s Catastrophic mixtape, Busta Rhymes, Reek Da Villian and J-Doe, aka The Conglomerate, return with this new single, “Chill.” The three MCs “tell that bi**h to chill” over a banging Jahlil Beats production, so don’t mistake the title as ironic. (Via X)

New Music: Hudson Mohawke “Sweet Silverskin”

hudmo

While he await his first official release since signing to Very G.O.O.D. Beats, the production arm of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, Hudson Mohawke premiered an unreleased track on MistaJam’s BBC Radio 1Xtra show last night. According to a pretty stern tweet, the snare and synth-driven “Sweet Silverskin” was recorded back in 2010, so there’s a noticeable difference in HudMo’s sound (but still an underlying hip-hop influence). Expect a second solo album — the first since 2009’s Butter — from the Scottish producer later this year. (Via Do Androids Dance)
