Jeezy and Gucci, then Mavado and Kartel….are 50 and Jay-Z next? BET’s Sound Off blog posted today:
Despite 50 Cent calling Jay-Z Beyonce’s husband and more recently jabbing that he thinks he’s Jesus, rumor has it that the two may actually be working together behind the scenes. A source who recently found himself eavesdropping on a conversation at a certain New York Giant’s office, recently told BET.com that Hov may be unifying the big apple by featuring Fif and Nas on the “Empire State of Mind” remix.
Word is the entire recording as well as conversations between the NY juggernauts will be documented. In addition to continually jabbing Jay, Fif has had issues with Nas for a while. Former friends, the Queens MCs became at odds after Fif called Nas out on The Massacre’s “Piggy Bank.”
This would be quite a surprising turn of events. Why would Jay reach out for to end a beef that he’s never acknowledged? Would that seem like a concession? And would 50 agree to be Jay’s guest, after all the comments that he’s made in the past few weeks? Some insiders are already denying the report, so we’ll have to see.

Makes alot of sense. What does 50 & Jay really gain by destorying themselves? Absolutely nothing. HipHop should be a trillion dollar industry by now, especially from 2002 to 2007 was the golden years to really capitalize on the marketibility & financial growth of rap, rap should have become stronger and increased its earning power tenfold instead it was pissed away with useless beefs. Imagine if 50 didn’t have issues Jada and recorded music with D-BLOCK= FIRE, or Game swallowed his pride and is made music with 50= TOO MUCH MONEY FOR JIMMY IOVINE TO COUNT, or Lil Kim didn’t get locked up right in the beginning stages of buzz of t magic stick. 50 did a GREAT job by creating his own market or bubble during those years and he milked it up until the Curtis album. Although most could sense 50′s fanbase was collapsing. The older fans were getting a bit worn down with the shoot ‘em up bang bang style & the newer ones just don’t get it. With the current state of music, it forces everyone to work together to keep creating a constant euphoria to go along with the project. Which Jay is a MASTER off, he understands what the market is yearning for and when (which the most important aspect the timing), gives them exactly that nothing more or less. All his records have had a certain euphoric feeling to it; Jay’s music is actually timeless you can play anyone of his albums and start feeling a certain way about it like it becomes part of you…50 & Jay really care about the state of hiphop, if they destory each other hiphop will not last 5 years before its completely over. Regarding what 50 may think about the US market been bought by marketing dollars vs International, the US market still sets the stage for whats good or not…If the Jay & 50 truce does happen this move will have a bigger & better impact than the Jay & Nas truce the industries biggest artist coming together is exactly what hiphop needs right now.

DOUBT IT… I see this as hurting 50 the most and Jay-z only a little (but still making Jay-z the bigger man). I highly doubt 50 will do this, but I’ve been shocked before. I too share a similar view. If the invitation is out there. Jay-Z will come out as the bigger man whether 50 Cent accepts or declines the offer.
I think if it is true, 50 should decline the offer and stop talking about Jay-Z. Ever since Nas said Em killed Jay-Z on renegade that’s become commonplace to judge records.

i just want these 2 to squash this crap whether or not they doing a song together. as a blackman we need to show more unity in our culture and definitely respect. with all these thingz our peepo have achieved in this american society, we still have a slave mentality and thats the real sickness of this whole situation. look how some of us ride for jayz and how some of us ride for 50 but if them 2 can unite, we have no choice but to do the same thing with our opinions, otherwyz we just want drama, war and bloodshed and thats just a sick way of thinking, especially with jay being 40 and 50 5 from 40> GROW UP TIME- not slow up grind

how is everyone saying fifty flopped? the kid has one of the hottest hip hop albums out right now. smh @ people wanting to see fif lose.
if anything fifty career is on the rise. he light years ahead of any rapper in terms of hustle. so either way he winning.
PS. if jay dont compete he pretty much saying he not part of hip hop anymore, which is really what this issue is about if anything.

Hmm.. i just noticed something.. you got 50 cent- looked at as a rabbit (because of his old teeth)
and Jay Z- well he just looked like a turtle in this picture.
and in life Fif seems to try to do everything with speed. Accomplishing so much in a little time. and then you got Jayz kinda just strolling along in life but still finishing first in the eyes of most. (the turtle vs the rabbit)
