The video and the whole vibe of the record really reminds me of Kanye when he debuted “Through The Wire”. I got the same feeling.
The production is incredible, Bink! >
Hit-Boy can flow. And the word-play was impressive. He definitely has my attention.

Definitely same as “Through the Wire” I’m sure that was a little on purpose.

That’s actually my problem with this song and video. Hitboy needs to stop trying to follow Kanye’s model and make his own lane. It’s also a gyp to use Jay’s name in the song title, I can just imagine the confusion this will cause on the radio.

Nothing special. He sounds just like so many other nobodies, but after all, it doesn’t really matter what I think. Once you’ve been given the stamp of approval by someone with as much influence in regards to the “machine” as Jay-Z has, people start kissin’ ya ass and crowning you the “next big thing.” Just as so many did Drake without even listening to his music, just the fact that he’s rockin’ wit’ Wayne had a lot of people falling all over themselves to jump on the bandwagon, and that’s what I see possibly happening with Hit-Boy.

Man I’m slow. I was caught up in the visual and was actually expecting a Hitboy interview (by Jay). I was only half listening to the song, not realizing its a music video.

Salute to Hit Boy for trying his hand at rapping.. But realistically he sounds just like every other rapper we forget about, nothing different, nothing unique.
Props still though
