Hip-Hop jewelry goes through phases. It started with the gold ropes and designer jewelry, got iced out in the 90s, and pretty ridiculous with gaudy stones in the early 2000s. These days the trend seems to be vintage designer high-end designer jewelry from brands like Versace and Gucci. We’ve seen it on Kanye, 2 Chainz, and most recently Trinidad James, who has been making hella noise with “All Gold Everything.” Recently, one of the leading purveyors of these coveted chains, Vintage Frames, gave some insight on they obtain their pieces.
