For years, Tiger Woods was without doubt one of my heroes. He epitomized excellence. Okay, I’m not fantastic, however when a heroic public figure is discovered to be so damaged, they take the hero out of heroism. Almost all one has left is “-ism” — idiot, dumb, moron. Is he an incredible golfer? You bet he is. In all likelihood he will always be considered one of the best in recent history.

Huh? The reason this is an issue is because he’s Tiger friggin Woods… the non-threating geeky looking dude who no one would ever think is the sneaky freaky dude he is. It has nothing to do with race. It’s about who he is and what he represents. Not only that, but he did it with 10 damn women!!! You think that’s not reason in itself to cover this?! If Kanye did that to anyone other than Taylor Swift, it would be news because of what Kanye did and who he is. Shit, South Park did a whole show on Kanye before the Taylor Swift thing, so clearly who he was garnered that attention. The same with Tiger. How can you not see the racial stuff in this? Like MissNice said, the whole reason the media cares about this is because he’s a black dude who cheated on his white wife. If his wife was Black or Asian this whole thing wouldn’t be news. It’s the same as the thing with Kanye. If Taylor Swift was black, no one would care.
