lol….Gyant sent this over….hilarity. (”its ludicrous!…..you coulda signed him too.”)….the dollshow at the end was creepy…but the rest was a verbal belt to the bottom.
oh god. He said, you turned an icon into a bust-it-baby. That’s a keeper.

i hate when these comics have overtly over sarcastic unearthed racial tones against white people…seriously sometimes i think black people have something against the white race just because we would lynch them a long time ago…

sounds like JD’s was a subliminal diss towards cat’s he doesnt wanna beef with
lol @ jelame dupri
Greg Street shits on JD in every way possible
the fucked up thing is, i somewhat agree with what JD said, but whenever a rapper uses terms like “every” and “no one” theirs bound to be problems…

I don’t think the DJ is dead in the south they push new music/new artist out there. There are only a hand full of DJ’s the push new music/new artist in NY. That’s why the play the same song 100 times in one day on 105 and Hot 97.

He is right about how he would sign artist that it seems like he doesn’t know much about. Hot Dolla was already doing his thing out here in the LA area, then I heard he got signed to JD’s label, and they changed his single, 9 months after it hit the radio. You could hear a little disdain in Felli Fel’s voice when he reintroduced the song on th new at 2 mix. A feeling I hope he doesnt have since he is on SSD now himself.
And will he please let Kris Kross out the boiler room? Yea, the Mac Daddy has Alopecia areata, not leukemia, he’s not dead.

LOL he was funny…
But he didn’t really tell WHY DJing isn’t dead. I don’t agree with Dupri, but I’d liked to have heard Street kick an explanation instead of just sayin’ “The DJ is not dead!”
But dude sounded like he wanted to get that off his chest for a minute. LOL

i agree wit this guy greg street. what is so so def/jermaine’s legacy? he made the first most popular kid rappers EVER. he made the most successful kid rapper ever. he made da brat…who style was jacked from snoop dogg.
and with her being the first female to go plat in rap that was big. what she got to show for it now? celeb fit club and surreal life? she talking about she’s not a hasbeen…nigga/bitch please.
don’t tell me im wrong, cause you know i aint.
i remember when he was tight when he wasn’t getting the respect that diddy and jay/dame got in the game & he said he been doing it longer & he’s younger. correct me if im wrong like the last time.
his father mike mouldin was down with columbia back in the day. so he’s like 17/18 y/o talking about he want to be a CEO. it aint that damn hard if ya father already in the business and can get a distribution deal via columbia/sony right?
diddy was going from howard university on a train everyday to nyc to wash cars for andre harrell when he was on uptown records (i saw that behind the music).
dame was a manager (i think) for original flava (or someone else that was tied to jay), and that’s how he got with jay. the rest is history.
didn’t russell start def jam from a small room in nyu?
correct me if im wrong. im not in the biz, and im an 80s baby. this is all hearsay.
where’d JD grind begin?
nowhere!
that’s why JD don’t get respect. he got this new girl on his label named phatfatt, and she’s whack. same with jkwon.
he fucked up janet’s career.janet & khia? on a song together? what? gett outta here.
again, Inf, if im wrong, let me know like last time…jermaine is a joke in the industry. his youtube videos are funny to watch, but he’s a joke. the end.

JD is a clown for real. In the 90’s every move Puff did JD followed it. Puff/Mase were dressing alike then JD/Brat started following suit. JD jocked everybody from NY…ie Puff, Big, Jay. He never makes big moves he just follows other dudes.

um, the dolls at the end? Why is Bishop Demond Tutu next to Jeezy? Really? But he’s right about Janet…I love Plies but ol’ girl as a “Bust It Baby” is NOT a good look. smh…I firmly believe that JD should just focus on R&B production…barring Mariah’s new album because only a few tracks on it are even close to the greatness of “The Emancipation of Mimi”…but you get the point.

Yo Miss info this a great post! I’ve been feeling this way about Jermaine for a very long time. I do not understand how the DJ can be dead. He is basing a lot of stuff on the industry. There are a lot of up and coming DJ’S breaking records and not even records from artist that are signed. Jermaine is just dying to get a reality show. He has been saying some off the wall stuff and it started with that Usher billboard cover.

in his prime JD was a stronger ‘producer’ than puff.. puff made stronger moves though
but back then puff would stand up as an actual ‘producer’ and wear that brand.. so u can’t say JD is a follower in that regard.. as far as janet.. that bust it baby
cosign is what is needed right now.. she should’ve been makin moves like that around the time of her 20yo project.. it would’ve done better… I mean Look At Mariah.. she’s an ikon also.. and her and fat man scoop took home a grammy so come on.. cut the bullshit.. these dj’s need to put their program directors and station managers in a head lock.. on some bully shit and get back to cosigning real moves and real projects..
