Mos Def is the shit! But have ya’ll heard of the Rapper/Emcee Novel? He was signed to Rawkus Records back when Mos Def and Talib Qweli was signed. He is coming out with his own album, “Audiobiography”. He is now signed to Capitol/Rowdy Records… and he’s produced songs on Alicia Keyes, Leona Lewis — and I heard he is now working with Beyonce!! Common, Mos Def, Tribe Called Quest, Leaders of The New School, etc. Those were the dudes that did it for me…although they came up the era after my djing thang got started but I was feeling what they were doing because i am and was always a dancer at heart…and you have to feel what you aremoving to!

This is exactly why I love NY!!! Even though I was not there, I can ONLY imagine how ill it was to have a small spot filled with true hip hop heads…folks who LOVE this music for real.
