Gucci Mane celebrated coming off house arrest this week by cutting off his ankle bracelet and posting it on Instagram. Now free and able to travel across the U.S., Guwop headed to New York City to promote his upcoming new album Woptober due Oct. 17. The Trap God gave HOT 97 a rare interview, where he sat down with Funk Flex to discuss everything currently going on since his return.

Gucci Mane speaks on life in prison, his incredible weight loss, the difference between being in jail and maximum security prison, people who stayed in touch while in prison, mentoring Young Thug, having access to only email while locked up, releasing all the music on his hard drive while in jail, and wanting to work with new artists like 21 Savage, Young M.A., Lil’ Uzi Vert, and Lil’ Yachty.

The 36-year-old also revealed that he hasn’t spoke with Waka Flocka Flame in three years, and is focused on what’s ahead instead to dwelling on their past issues. When asked about the status of his 6’ers project with Drake, Gucci says he hopes it comes out soon but the two have busy schedules.
