Gucci Mane Fires at Nicki Minaj & French Montana Over “Loyalty”
Posted by Mr.North under Interviews , Quotes[17] Comments
Gucci Mane’s never been the one to hold his thoughts. After firing at Young Jeezy and T.I. earlier this month, the Brick Squad general had more to get off his chest. During a visit to Atlanta’s Hot 107.9, Gucci didn’t have pleasant words towards Nicki Minaj, French Montana, and Yo Gotti. In Nicki Minaj and French Montana’s case, Gucci Mane feels appreciation hasn’t been returned to his 1017 camp where Waka Flocka’s mother Debra Antney managed both artists at one point in time. Nicki’s worked her way up to pop super stardom with YMCMB, while French’s on the cusp of major success aligning with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group and Diddy’s Bad Boy Records.
“It’s like when she came to Atlanta she [Nicki] gave me a shout out and said I helped her in her career. But at the end of the day I just think you keep it real with somebody you can’t expect them to keep it real with you. I told you man in this industry people wanna be famous and forget the people that helped them get to where they at. I tip my hat to Nicki for being a hard worker, but at the same time she know she ain’t keep it real.”
Watch the interview and read Gucci’s thoughts on French Montana, and Yo Gotti after the jump…..
On French Montana:
“French Montana know he didn’t keep it real. My thing is I ain’t going out of my way to tell somebody to act real or they fake or they lame because that ain’t got nothing to do with me. But when they start spilling into my business or my affairs I’m a vocal person, I usually speak on it.”
On Yo Gotti, who’s CM7: The World Is Yours mixtape was to drop on the same day as Gucci’s Trap God project (Oct. 17) but pushed it back a day after Gucci fired at the “King of Memphis” via a tweet:
“I said Gotti was cool until he turned into a busta. So I wasn’t saying that we wasn’t even cool. I said we was cool until this point right here. My main problem with him is that he dropped his mixtape on 10/17 and tried to ride my wave like he was an artist of mine or we get some kind of money together. So I just felt like for an artist to drop their mixtape on 10/17, which is my label. All my label mates dropped their mixtape on 10/17. Why would you drop it on 10/17 and when I call you as my partna you say, ‘oh I didn’t know you were dropping a mixtape.’ Now the whole world know I’m dropping this [Trap God] mixtape. I’ve been promoting this mixtape. Both me and you on the top of Worldstar. You with a freestyle and me with a video, but you say you unaware I got a mixtape and I got a banner that says it’s coming out 10/17. So it just made me lose all respect for him instantly.”
Why would another artist put they mixtape out on 10/17 if they ain’t Bricksquad. You ain’t me the #TRAPGOD

As Jeezy said: ‘How can you take seriously a man with an ice cream cone tattooed on his face’. He apparently a boss and he dissing Wayne & Birdman’s (who he is friends with/that 5 link also) marquee artist and French (Puff & Rozay’s new co-venture). He keeps running his mouth he is going to fuck his money up! Birdman & Puff have the money to turn Gucci’s lights (career) out – Industry politics

@Jmaine U talkin like Gotti and Gucci don’t have tracks together. Gucci and Gotti were partners and for someone that close 2 release their mixtape on the same day as u obviously I would be offended! It’s a basic case of some tryin to steal ur thunder!

The Mixtape IS the New album nowadays. an at the end of the day these dudes are content with moving indie units so wut is there to exel to for them.

I noticed that the Ross n Jeezy shoving match stirred up a fire in this dude lol
How you use somebody elses beef to gain momentum?? Its a good strategy though.

Shout out to missinfo …
People,
The main thing is that Gotti lied to Gucci, and didn’t keep it real with Gucci;Gotti should have just kept it 300, told the truth, and said that he was trying sell more records by piggy-backing a little bit on Gucci’s buzz.
Speaking of Gucci … I heard this song by Gucci called “scarface,” featuring Scarface (from the Gheto Boys), and Scarface kills the verse; please do yourself a favor and go listen to the song whenever yall get a chance – Scarface’s verse on that track is a breath of fresh air.
I’m out of here.
No peace

WTF do he on that date 10/17. How u gonna tell another man when he can an cant drop his music on that date. these niggaz trippin….
November 1st, 2012 at 4:27 pm
This is the dumbest thing ever… Gucci is starving for attention apparently.
U can’t tell somebody when they should drop their mixtape. Mixtape dates aren’t album dates wtf is this bs about.
And to top it all off Gotti moved his mixtape back a day later out of respect and Gucci still dissing?
The funniest part to me in all of this is that Gucci’s defense that Gotti must have known about his mixtape is his banner or video being on Worldstar? Lol what about the fucking music?
Used to be a time that people knew your shit was coming because you had some good music out that was bumpin in the clubs or something….
Gucci is a joke and when he tatted an icecream cone on his face it was a wrap for him. That has to be in the Top 5 dumbest things a rapper has ever done.
I’ll tell u str8.. Fuck Gucci, his music been weak from the staart and now he is holding on to a dangling thread of a career by dissing people who have more hype than him.
I am not sure who supports these artists who are on sinking ships but I laugh at the 15 mins of hype these wack rappers get and uneducated stupid fans stay gassing these fools. Gucci mane, Waka Flocka, Soulja Boy, Lil B and these wack ass rappers who can hardly put a sentence together much less a rap song…. They will fade away because people don’t usually buy into their music on a major scale, their albums don’t sell because these dudes is wack and can’t put together a body of work to save their life.

ok let me set it all straight lol. Gucci is a fake and never has been a gangsta. Youtube the group N-Toon of which he and Lloyd were both part of and both singers in the group…..look for the interview with them both as well. you will see this mofo roccn a s-curl and speaking so proper and diligent then he becomes a gangsta? Boy BYE!
