Meanwhile, on the other side of the taste spectrum….the homie JLaPuma from Complex pointed out this streetwear take on the Chris Brown and Rihanna situation. (Because sometimes that’s where the best social editorial is these days…printed on a tee)
I love my streetwear peoples but Upper Playground…probably shouldnt have used this situation as a tool for being “in the now.” But if you’re gonna go there…go smarter.

for the sake of full disclosure, one time I went to the Upper Playground store, which was really nice, by the way, and saw this dope tee-shirt that I thought my Filipino friend would like. It had a pic of Michael Jackson and read “Thrilla in Manilla”……but misspelled Manila with two Ls.

@ corporate … I feel the same way in terms of celebs commenting. If this was an average jane this wouldn’t even be news. This happens everyday and does HOV forget that he has raised his hand a few times also; choking a chick out is just as bad as what Chris did to Rhi. In no way am I trying to excuse it, I just feel like the media is making this out to be worse than it really is – they are young, people make mistakes and he is at a point where he can get help.
Tell me how does Mystikal a convicted rapist still get air play? Big Pun who we all know smashed his wifes face into a table and R Kelly who is a pedophile still have there music on the airwaves. Chris is at an age where he can get help … he wasn’t 25 and up acting so recklessly as the abovementioned.
