RUN was that record. Yeah man… It’s amazing – we can argue all day about good/bad hip hop records, is hip hop alive/dead etc… but when an amazing record comes out, we all know it. It’s pretty much obvious.
When RUN dropped, it was like “whoa. incredible record.”
Like Rakim once said, “if you listen to hip hop long enough, you know what’s good hip hop, bullshit hip hop, fake hip hop, etc.”
but yeah, Ghost is an interesting dude. I like how he’s being candid about his album recording experiences, inspirations, etc. It’s good viewing.
Why does quitting even come into mind…i know it does get expensive, but damn you don’t have to smoke a whole quarter in 1 sitting…also, you know that when you smoke you get lazy and you don’t want to do much of anything…just save the blunt session for after an accomplished day at the studio..you still the man though..
weed is green crack. it dont do any good for you! it steals your ambition, an old friend told me that shit in college. I finally quit that shit last year.
i mean its like this…i loved his first 3 albums on weed…p ton was a good record…cant compare to the first 3 but decent. now look at the ones since…all i’m saying is a lil joint while u write rhymes wont kill u…
The greatest artist were on drugs or just crazy…..Im from yonkers and in 1998/99 I would run into x in raveen or the units some where in that area, and he would be beggin for cigarettes and ish ( mind you he had enough money at the x to buy all of newport) and I would say that’s some ill ish. Crack kills…yet at some point he was trying to get clean, and when he did that the music didn’t feel the same anymore. I was thinking he need to hit the pipe again so he could get back on his paranoia ish and hop on stage like…..till you laying decaying moms is home praying think you coming home but you not cause you sittin…lol drugs are sad but they bring out the best of a lot of artist
