After releasing the first single, “The Rise of Ghostface Killah,” and looping us in with all the details last month, Ghostface Killah and Adrian Younge serve up a second sample of their forthcoming collaborative album, Twelve Reasons to Die. “The Sure Shot (Part 1)” is another cinematic score, driven by a dusty breakbeat and sparse licks, while “Part 2″ slides in straight after with a vibrant piano sequence. Both feature the usual dexterous rhymes from Tony Starks.

Executive produced by RZA, Twelve Reasons to Die hits stores April 16 and will include a six-issue comic book series and collected graphic novel. The record should warm us up for Ghostface’s other new projects, Supreme Clientele 2 and a collaboration with MF DOOM, which he says could arrive in the Summer and around Halloween, respectively.
