Genius Moment: Kanye, Pharell and Teriyaki Boyz at the Bapeheads show in Hong Kong

Man, I knew I missed a historic good time out in HK and Tokyo. My favorite flyguys were all together to celebrate the Bape 15th Anniversary. These the few guys I know who can wear these clothes without the clothes wearing them, lol.

People always think I’m crazy when I go into detail about how I feel when it comes to A Bathing Ape and whatnot, so I won’t do it here. Verbal always wears the illest glasses.
And remember to tell Yoyo Rae that I’m still down whenever he needs to find a home for his collection lol….but i’m serious though.

@sport…o I forgot about that convo! ok, I’ll remind him.
And Verbal’s vintage shade collection is the truth! The last time him and his wife were in NYC they both every pair of Jeremy Scott shades they could find.
His taste is outraegeous but impeccable.

Haha, I have a pretty large collection of MV’s and PV’s with Verbal in them, and now that you mention it; I really don’t remember if he was shade-less in any of them.

Promotional Videos, basically what they call music videos in other places, like Japan

mv’s & pv’s = music videos.
Yeah, I can’t think of a single M-flo video that doesn’t include verbal in shades even the really old ones with lisa. I’d take his linguistic skills over his shades collection (but it’d be a close call).

Wish I could see this show live. I guess I need to cop my glow in the dark tickets already
“you know what time is it?” is one of my favorite primo joints. i’d probably like it even better if my japanese extended beyond “onegaishimasu” and “oishi” lol

@forge…wow, i don’t know those words, lol.
@newmiyamoto…haha yes verbal speaks perfect english, korean and japanese. really smart cookie : )
@hiphopisdead…i think you’re right. the show itself wasnt a genius moment, but I think nigo is a genius, if only of marketing.

When I interviewed Pharrell a few weeks back we got into a long discussion . . . well he talked for a long time . . . about his relationship with Nigo. It didn’t fit into the piece about NERD, though. I’ve been meaning to transcribe the rest for my personal blog but I’m lazy. Basically he just talked about how much Nigo loves Neptunes.

@mark…I’d love to see what pharell said on that topic. I think they have a very interesting working and personal friendship.

@info: no unfortunately I never been there (so far, that is).
I knew that they can be very very very shy, but to see them like that while Ye and Pharrell are on stage kind of shocked me
