Last Friday, the L.A. Sheriff’s Department opened up a criminal investigation following an incident involving Game, where he tweeted out the number of the sheriff’s Compton station. The tweet obviously caused trouble as his 500,000 + followers bombarded their emergency phone system, delaying emergency service. Today, Game appeared on CNN to apologize for the mishap which originally was meant to be an internship opportunity for fans who called a specific number. According to him, during a photo shoot a friend got access to his phone and tweeted out the wrong number.

UPDATE: Following Game’s appearance on CNN, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office issued a statement stating no criminal charges will be filed against Game.

A case of social media gone wrong, Game’s The R.E.D. Album drops August 23rd.
