Well, she is well known for doing what she does now, and since I have yet to hear a session by her (and she recently accepted my friend request), I will leave her out of it. But the daughter of some Fortune 500 company or the Olson Twins or Lohan are not DJ’s. Why don’t they go continually fail at something like acting.

yea i agree the dj trys to be bigger than the artist. id say everyone in hip hop takes a vote to get these djs out of the radio stations.how much luv they wanna get for playing songs??? for pressing play??.plus they killed hip hop by downloading dudes singles and playing wack songs ova and ova and ova.people say its the south or pop music or this and dat that killed hip hop no! its the mother fuc*ing djs cause they the ones playing that shiit they the ones that play it that make us hear it.of couse theirs wack rappers theirs allways gonna be wack rappers but by them playing it for everyone to hear its their fault.them djs feel salty cause they around rich rappers and they cant get a peace of the pie.i give luv to djs who make beats come up with hooks and play real hip hop but these other dudes killed hip hop son. tell you the truth only dj on hot 97 that plays real hip hop is that ni*ga peter rosenburg.and you can tell he does it for the love.you dont see cats that work for the showtime channel trying to get xtra props for playing they movies.im saying.

@Blu Payola still goes on . Lest say Iam DJ Bon1bon I work at a hip hop radio station I cant out right get money to play a record on the air but if I have a record pool or promotion company you can pay the company to get your record “promoted” So it would be in my best intrest to make sure the people that are paying my “promotion” company to get there song on the hip hop radio stations to play their song .Or get them to host your event(s) and pay them “extra”

JD is basically sayin, Dj’s r tryin to be bigger than the artists, which is true.

The Dj that leaked Carter III did it as F! U! to Wayne coz he feels Wayne needs him more than he needs Wayne which is stupid coz every artist knows not to give the said Dj exclusive material based on the Weezy saga.

Nas accused Flex of doing the same thing. Taking money to play records e.t.c when Dj’s are suppoded to be the hip-hop street team like Dj Green Lantern was to Eminem. Whoo Kid to G-Unit e.t.c

Dj’s on radio these days instigate beef and take sides which F’s up the game to an extent You know Kay Slay won’t play certain records there are few old school dj’s who do what is supposed to be done which is promote and give the artist opportunity to clarify what the streets want to know e.g Ed Lover.

But I still like the mixtape game, Dj Khaled album was big. I still play joints off the album till 2 day.

lol @ c baines, but he’s right. jd is right too. i believe in that payola mess too. i aint gonna so i think is getting it. i will say one thing though…it’s funny how all of a sudden certain artists are getting played here on ny radio, when they never got play here before. i aint sayin no names, but back in 05 i heard about some mess with columbia records paying people to play their records, so who knows?

Besides the fact of the promotion side of being a DJ, I think the art is being faltered right now. At first, I didn’t understood Kay Slay’s RAGE against Serato and other PCDJ programs. Now I get it.

I finally started messing with the programs.. I can beatmatch by just pressing some buttons? REALLY? I dont even need to try to use it. I’m not DJ, but I respect the art, the effort, and the talent involved. When you have young female socialites with a MacBook plastered with Dim Mak stickers spinning Coolio in some LAcoke club, something is seriously wrong.
