(Future and Drake in the studio)
Lot of energy around Future these days. And it’s interesting that there’s been a slow conversion of new fans, especially within the industry. Where as before he was the guy that made those big club hits that music critics passed off as club fodder…to now where I see both writers and music execs and other artists adoring him, in sort of the same way that it became cool to love 2Chainz some time in early 2012. I liken Future to rap hot sauce…a very effective condiment to many music meals. It’s the melodies. Like how we loved T-Pain, but without all the buffoonery. I also found Future and his FreeBandz team really nice during our #UnCapped chat last year. And I saw first-hand how the audience at Grambling State U. reacted to his music. “Turn On The Lights” was intense for them, lol.
Anyways, check out a new Future collaboration with Drake, produced by Mike Will Made It. It’s good these two have mended that little tiff from the past because they have a complimentary sound that fits well together.

Future drops his new F.G.B The Movie mixtape on January 13th. Oh, and there’s some gossip blog buzz ever since he was spotted at LA’s Crustaceans with Ciara (the two have also collaborated recently on two songs).

Yeah, I don’t get it. Future can’t sing and he can’t rap yet he’s being slobbered over by everyone.
Meh.

You prob aren’t heavy on the party/club scene. His music is everything to wanna hear when you’re twisted, enjoying life and mingling with the opposite sex. His melodies are undeniable though. Might not be your thing but you can’t front on that.

Any South Park fans remember the episode where Stan turns 10 years old and can’t listen to music any more because it (literally) sounds like shit, lol. Well that how I feel about this song. I don’t get it. Maybe I’m just too old…

Future is terrible. #FACT
A lot of people who are terrible have become rich. #FACT
Something we have to live with as fans of Hip-Hop & Rap Music.
In regards to “His melodies are dope etc” the melody to ‘Turn on the lights’ is okay but thats due to Mike Will and the other song is Rihannas.
