A news report broke on Friday (Sept. 14) that Frank Ocean was suing Travis Scott over his vocals on their ASTROWORLD collaboration, “Carousel.” TMZ reported that the Grammy Award-winning singer’s legal team filed a cease and desist to remove him off the song. Ocean apparently did not approve of the way his vocals were used. The story also said that Scott allegedly had no plans to remove Ocean from the record.

Hours after that news surfaced online, Frank Ocean took to his Tumblr page to release a statement. In the post, Frank reveals that he approved the use of his vocals before the album came out. The singer did note there was a a cease and desist for a separate issue, but it was resolved with the Houston rapper. The use of the emojis lead many to believe Ocean was referring to transgender model Amanda Lepore, who was removed from the ASTROWORLD album cover after originally being included on it.
