Roc-A-Fella Co-Founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison

I may have to be the first one to print up some “Free Biggs” t-shirt in support of Roc-A-Fella co-founder Kareem Burke. He was the silent partner that helped Dame and Hov bring the Roc to greatness. The mystique around Biggs first caught my attention on Reasonable Doubt’s CD artwork. I thought I’m sure he’s not a MC or producer so why does get to be on here? After some Internet and word-of-mouth research I found out he was like they’re consigliere. Sil, from The Sopranos if you will. However, the latest news on Kareem is not so good. A New York judge just sentenced him to serve 5 years in prison for his role in a large marijuana distribution operation that had ties to Florida, California and New York. Biggs faced a mandatory minimum sentence of five to 40 years on the charges and was forced to forfeit $15,000 in cash, his $600,000 New Jersey house and a BMW as part of his plea deal.

Mikey i like most of your post but for you to write “Free Biggs” is CRAZY! the man did dirt and got caught… is it sad to hear? yea but im sure he knew what was going on… you should focus on folks that are actually innocent and in jail and try to get a “Free xxxx” campaign going for them…

I don’t think “sad” is the best word. For me, it would probably be “disappointed.” More so because someone who I had admired as a kid was influenced by got caught up. He did some dirt and has to pay the cost for that. You’re right. I dont get it Miss Info, I always thought you ” you got it” but you dont.
First you dont talk at all about the summer jam / YCM beef. ( nonw the less, hot 97 still playing her music the next day)
Then you say you want to print a ” free biggs ” shirt. Why do you want to free him? He did something Illegal and got caught.
Your now in the same category as to me as K Fox, a person that is not smart and shows no responsibility for their job.

You know as Ignorant as your comment is I agree with what you said somewhat. Miss info dropped the ball on the Nicki Minaj Beef with hot 97. I understand it is a conflict of interest because she works their. but to not inform us faithful bloggers on the play by play was wrong (Journalist integrity). Mikey is on cue with this post though, Kareem essentially is an idiot. after you are a public figure, even if its a wing man for Dame dash, why do dirt.Seems like something he did because the music checks stop coming, learn to adjust and have a plan b in case music doesn’t work.

Behind every good man is a great woman. Hov simply snatched up Bee and never looked back…and that was Hov’s plan b. High end fashion designer Rachel Roy is eclipsing her ex Dame – It would’ve been nice to see Dame stay with Rachel and move like a power couple too. Slinging yay in 2012 ain’t the move when Google Map and gadgets from facebook help the po’ track dealers down easy.

Many of you don’t know the deal with Biggs.
Biggs had money before Dame or Jay. Why Biggs continued to deal in the streets? I don’t believe he ever left the streets. Mikey if you want the real story email me.
