Early Sunday morning, shots rang out during a Chris Brown performance at Fiesta nightclub in San Jose, California. The R&B singer, who was on hand for a “Capricorn Bash” event hosted by local radio station 106 KMEL’s DJ Big Von and Black Marc, was performing his smash-hit “Loyal” when a fight broke out and gunfire erupted at 1:20 a.m. PST.

Oh them ni**as is getting it in over there,” Brown says into the mic during the performance just seconds before multiple shots were fired and hundreds of fans trampled each other trying to vacate.

According to San Jose’s Mercury News, officers arrived finding four people suffering from gunshot wounds. Rushed to a nearby hospital, shortly after another shooting victim walked into a local hospital. While no additional details have been given, police have said all of the victims are expected to survive and that several people were detained following the shooting.

Chris Brown took to Twitter minutes after, letting fans know he was fine and not harmed. This is the second incident in under a year where a shooting took place during an event Chris Brown was in attendance. Back in August, Suge Knight was shot six times during an MTV VMAs pre-party hosted by Chris Brown at 10AK nightclub in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. The Death Row mogul was later released from hospital four days after the incident.

Sunday’s shooting comes just weeks before Chris Brown will embark on the “Between the Sheets” North American tour with Trey Songz and Tyga, starting Jan. 25 in Hampton, Virginia.
