I go way back with these guys, I remember when there were no cameras and no sponsors. Just spit, smoke and a 20 to 1 ratio in a sardine can on 38th st., lol.
Exec Nick sent over this fancy smancy video trailer for the Fight Klub tour series. I was disappointed that there’s no actual battling in this preview, but I guess we’ll have to wait. Lol@Freddy P around the 4:30 mark. That looks interesting…..oh, and Richie Rich! Total blast from the past.
UPDATE: according to Nick, next month, Fight Klub will start airing some of their pre-taped state-to-state battles online, and they will kick off new live battles at the headquarters (still on 38th, but bigger, lol). As for the TV series, that tba…but it won’t be on MTV2.
ps: am I the only one who gets annoyed by all the bells and whistles on these kyte vids? Is there anything simpler?

Info- If you get to judge and/or have any influence on the battles, please try to stem the tide of what is happening to the art of freestyle battling. I know that everyone has prewritten punches in mind, and that it is part of the game. But when cats like Murder Mook spit 32 bars of thematic material, its not a freestyle battle, its a diss song. When every person sold coke, and does work with the ratchet, its not a freestyle battle.
I don’t know if you or ciph will be judging, but please do what you can to stop the madness.

@lone…..i totally agree….that was always corny to me. “Hmmm, let me see how many different ways I can talk about violating your mom/daughter/girlfriend! That should get me all the ooo’s and ahhh’s needed to win over the studiothugs in this crowd.”
I always liked the guys who could pinpoint specific characteristics in the opponent and then customize their disses…even if pre-written.
and all the career criminal ish…..snore.

That s@it was hot, I saw the event while they were in my hometown of Ft. Myers, they should keep taking the show on the road to give cats outside of NY a chance to shine. Good Job! Trailer looked like some ol feature film ish!

I’m with Lone Gunner, I’m turned off by freestyle battling now because it’s all the same. I don’t see how the judges can sit through it personally.

the fight klub is wack. they keep tryna make something of nothing. go on their website it says 07. they be talking that big shit, but never have battles, and like rey said, NOTHING TO DO with battles…. just a bunch of im cool, look at who i know bullshit…. where are the battles son? looks like a fucking jerk off to themselves to me….
