Field Trip: Shoe Shopping at Goliath with Miss Info

The other day, I went uptown to scoop up my buddy Mikey, and got a tour of Goliath, one of NYC’s best sneaker/streetwear boutiques. And the OG Harlem boutique, predating three of my other uptown favorites, Atmos, The Vault, and my friend Bahr’s Everything Must Go store…which has now moved up to Dobbs Ferry and is called The Rec Room. Anyways, Mike snapped a photo for the Goliath blog, but despite the missinfo banner, I’m not actually a heavy fitted wearer…this pic and the banner pic (which was taken when it started raining like crazy at Summerjam a few years ago) are rarities. What I was really eyeing were these cute cherry and feather covered Nikes….see below.

Mikey said that these Jordan chukkas were not doing well and were getting no love from the hardcore sneakerheads….I guess because they look too fashiony? I loved them. They look like Claes or Common Projects….but a little less delicate?
Anyways, check the Goliath blog for more shoe porn, and stop in the shop if you’re in East Harlem.

Goliath is a staple in NYC good look info I myself am a loyal Rivington Club, DQM, Coat of Arms and Supremer living downtown just a few skateboarded blocks from the LES just makes it alittle more convenient then Harlem but Goliath and of corse Atmos are always a must when I’m in that area and I personally like the chukkas, because they’re alittle fashiony how many jordan 1’s 3′ and 4’s can one really rock before the look just get’s stale actually had this convo about the chukkas with my boy Jessi from Rivington Club and he also wasn’t feelin em but fuck it I say it’s a sleeper and I will be copping

When I go casual/dress up it’s Cole Haan’s for me. I still get my Nike Air & don’t have to subject myself to those.
Jordan needs to stick to the athletic arena & stop all these quickstrikes.

All that hate; do you have anything in life that makes you smile? quite sad really all that senseless hate just eats you up inside all us skateboarders kick flipping in our retro shoes LOL I just don’t know how you get out of bed in the morning LOL

i also hate the use of capitalized “lol”s.. especially when its used to describe a blogger making himself laugh.. once skateboarding goes out, i wonder what you hipster douchebags will find next? pogo sticks? hoola hoops? hopefully, youll start collecting retro hammers, and start slapping urselves with them..

hahahaa. i was looking at the pic and was like damn info lol actually let someone take a pic of her and put it on the BLOG. man. hahahaaa. it’s okay. you’re not ugly by any means, even if you were that’s not even a thing cause i mean it is up to you to put up whatever. good to know you’re one of those people who keeps it humble and doesn’t enjoy the narcissism. i actually thought that instead of having that summer jam pic as the banner, that you could have a bunch of pics (not of you but of the whole scene you cover) scrolling at the top or even changing when people click on a story link or refresh the page…but you stuck with the one up top and i don’t mind it…kinda like how this site lol hasn’t gone through a makeover yet. oh well. anyways to the sneakers, DID YOU BUY THE PINK ONE????? i’m not a big sneaker head, but i love shoes and i hate pink, but i really like that nike feathers shoe. good on you giving love to goliath. i like coming down to ny, visiting fam and shopping for new shoes (rbk is my main). my brothers have everything jordan and the one that likes to dress nice won’t even consider getting those suede ones because it’s too nice. he said that. he’s like this, “i like looking nice but i don’t want to look overdressed/trying too hard.” am glad everything must go is still there in another form. good people working there. oh and lol no toronto doesn’t have some ill sneaker shops…nothing like ny. man. either that or i need to get myself to tokyo. i hear they have some real heavy sneaker game. hahaha i can’t believe i’m not a sneakerhead but i love shoes. it’s one of my vanities…probably because i want to design one day and i like making things. i wish i could make a shoe, not just draw us a design but actually do all the sourcing of materials and sow it myself. some of my friends from school did that and it didn’t turn out too bad. they got to showcase their ideas at the design xchange shoe exhibit they have up here. anyways good post!
