It’s been a long time coming, but Fashawn’s The Ecology will finally arrive this year. The Fresno, CA rhymer took to Twitter earlier today to announce that his long-awaited sophomore album — the follow-up to 2009’s Boy Meets World — will drop on September 30 via the newly-launched Mass Appeal Records. The project is set to feature appearances from his new label boss Nas and Aloe Blacc, and will be entirely produced by his close collaborator Exile.

While Fashawn’s deal with Mass Appeal Records has been quietly known for some time already, he decided to make the news official today by tweeting, “It’s an honor to say I signed with one of the best to ever touch the mic King Esco. @Nas thank you big bro.” The 2010 XXL Freshman reiterated his love for Nas in a recent interview with Vlad TV, revealing that the veteran MC’s support rekindled his love for rap.
