Fabolous has never quite hit the heights that Big did, but he’s always repped BK to the fullest. On March 9, the 20th anniversary of Biggie’s passing, Loso was awarded the key to his hometown by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams. Fab will also have a street in Brooklyn named after him later this year.

Swizz Beatz, Wale, DJ Clue, Ryan Leslie and Doug E. Fresh were all in attendance at Fabolous’ ceremony, which was held at the Grand Courtroom in Brooklyn’s Borough Hall. “I call him the secret weapon,” Swizz said. “He’s the secret weapon for fashion, the secret weapon for music, the secret weapon for creativity, he’s the secret weapon behind a lot of artists doing what they do today.”

Swizz also urged Fab to lay off the mixtapes and record a new album, but we all know what he’s like when it comes to hitting the studio.
