Exhale…….thank you rest of the country for not letting us down

I was worried all day….call it Info-pessimism. But Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Florida, you came through. Thank you.
I loved this photo that my girl Tracy N. sent from Times Square….much better reason for celebration than a giant lite-brite moving on a pole.
Now after we take a moment for tears of joy/relief, its back to reality. Obama is in for a very very tough road ahead. And the mess we’re in may take his 8 years to remedy. Maybe even more. So I hope we can all support him in the rough road ahead the same way that we supported him on the road we just road over.

yea i shed tears last night, my parents were activists and this is just beautiful. i wish my dad was here for me to hear his reaction. the turn out was ridiculous, it should be like that for any election. this opportunity was a result of hard work from many people past and present, especially the blood sweat and tears from President Obama himself. lets show everyone that we deserve such an honor, of this blessed event. the work is not over, it’s just the beginning.

Big ups to MA for coming thru for our boy Obama! He deserves the title of President more than anyone right now! He’s that dude and not only because he is black but because he is standing up for the rights that we have standing up for years now! He is an intelligent man and he is going to pull us thru all the crap Bush left behind for us! GO OBAMA!!!!

I didn’t really support his campaign but for all of our sakes it’s Obama’s time to show and prove.

miss info, i agree about the times square comment. i always felt that people congregating to see a ball on a long pole move up or down was mad phallic. it’s hilariously pause-worthy.

I’m overjoyed that Barack Obama won the election. It was one of the greatest feelings of my life when I got in the voting booth and saw his name on the ballot. I just looked at it for a few seconds before I cast my vote. It’s wonderful to be part of history. My state(Maryland) also cam thru for Obama.

Obama has a lot of love in the uk! Well done. When america sneezes, the whole world gets the flu, so here’s hoping the remedy is on the way!
Go Obama, now all we need is an Indian prime minister in Parliment, lol.
