Video: Rakim previews new music at the Highline Ballroom
Posted by Mikey Fresh under Concerts , New Music , Videos[13] Comments
Mikey:The R… the God Rakim may have kept us waiting more than a decade for another album, but perfection takes time, and if the god isn’t satisfied with his work, who’s to tell him otherwise? Last night, at the Highline in NYC, Ra gave us a taste of what he’s been so meticulously cooking up for his return. Earlier this summer we got to hear his first single “Holy Are You”, but on this Thursday night we were blessed with another track called “No Man Above” feat. Pudge. Watch the clip and enjoy.

I’m not a Ross fan, but you can’t front on a hit, plus, who cares anyway. He was a C.O., he should’ve been straight up about it, he definitely went about it all wrong but in the end, who cares??

Whats with this constant bitchassness on your part Mikey when it come to Ross?
This continued childish insults on him because he had a job in correction is ignorant…especially when black people engage in it.
How much cred would you get if you decided to rap, with your blog jumpin, writing on ,instead of being apart of hip hop resume ?
You’d be seen as some elitist intellectual blowhard tryin to pose on the culture because you actually had a real job and an education…
Unless you have a problem with him personally, or you don’t like his music, then u should save all that neck snappin, eye rollin, teeth suckin, side of the neck talkin’ nonsense ’till you’re back at the beauty salon.
Stay classy

I’ve seen your blog…
U have HORRIBLE taste in music…lol
And since almost everyone agrees that Ross album was hands down, one of the hottest of the year so far…
U thinking ross is trash is meaningless

Probably because he LIED about being a C.O. Just a thought.

its and opinion which is just as meaningless as your comment. By you identifying yourself with “everyone”, I could tell you’re just a frontrunning puppet.

First Off I said “almost” everyone…meaning those whose jobs are to critique music and industry related bloggers.I could personally care less about Ross. But to make inane comments about someone who chose not to talk their “job having” past, when almost ALL RAPPERS lie about the supposed shit they been in and the weight that supposedly hold.Cats need to have the same type of fake outrage to thir favorite rappers lulling them to sleep with the bullshit.
