Eminem’s newly released The Marshall Mathers LP 2 album is set to debut No. 1 next week on Billboard‘s album charts. According to early industry reports, Slim Shady’s first solo album since 2010’s Recovery is estimated to sell between 700,000 and 750,000 copies opening week. That would make MMLP2 the second-highest sales week this year, only behind Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience, which sold 968,000 its first week back in March.

Available on iTunes, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 will mark Eminem’s seventh consecutive No. 1 album. It would move him into second among hip-hop acts, passing Kanye West and Lil’ Wayne for most chart-topping albums. Only Jay Z has more with 13 No. 1’s.
