On Monday night, on the eve of the release of The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem held a Town Hall-style Q&A session with fans and members of the media on his Shade 45 radio station. Hosted by Sway, the session lasted for over an hour, which means plenty of gems were dropped. Shady discussed approaching MMLP2 with a “just rap” mentality, working with Kendrick Lamar on “Love Game” and the “Control” verse, his writing technique and rhyme style and much, much more. Cracking jokes and even mocking his early raps, it’s good to see Marshall back to his normal self.

The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is in stores now.
