Of the 451,000 equivalent album units moved, 322,000 were attributed to traditional album sales and 90,000 to streams. It becomes the British singer’s second No. 1 album, following his sophomore LP x (Multiply), that topped the charts in 2014.

Sheeran’s big opening week is the largest debut since J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only, which sold 363,000 copies back in December 2016. ÷ also produce the highest streaming week since J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only, as it pulled in 134.6 million streams in its tracking week.

The -year-old will embark on the 48-date “Divide” North American tour kicking off Jun. 29 in Kansas City. The four-month road show runs for four months, wrapping up on Oct. 6 in Nashville, TN.
