With five days left until Drake’s junior effort Nothing Was the Same officially releases, pandemonium leading up to its release continued on Thursday afternoon across North America. The Toronto artist and his October’s Very Own collective opened three pop-up shops in Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles to give out “Compliments of the Company” promotional apparel. Free to the public, fans lined up late Wednesday night for a good spot in line to pickup their choice of Nothing Was the Same gear including t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, and hoodies. As expected, chaos erupted, specifically in NYC’s Lower East Side where a fight broke out at ALIFE as NYPD were called in to control the massive crowd which spawned three blocks.

Hours after taping his appearance on The Ellen Show which airs on Friday, Drake made a surprise visit to the L.A. pop-up store located on North Fairfax. He posed for photos and thanked those in attendance, as girls screamed and rushed to catch a flick while exiting. Nothing Was the Same arrives Tuesday.
