The countdown to Drake’s highly-anticipated third solo album Nothing Was the Same is on. One of the much-talked about song titles off the Toronto-native’s junior effort is the Noah “40” Shebib-produced “Wu-Tang Forever.” The melodic dark cut, covered with piano sounds and soft rapid-fire drums, samples Wu-Tang Clan’s 1997 classic “It’s Yourz.” Serving as track No. 4 off his new opus, fans can receive the song as a free download when pre-ordering Nothing Was the Same on iTunes.
Due September 24, the album features appearances from Jay-Z, Jhené Aiko, Detail, Majid Jordan, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean. UPDATE: The song also features some vocals from Jhené Aiko towards the end.

wtf. He could have called this song “Stillmatic” and it’d make more sense than an absolutely-random title shoutout to the Wu.

If this song was called “It’s Yours” I would have no problem with this song. But, I can’t help to be dissapointed since this song is called Wu Tang Forever.
September 12th, 2013 at 9:37 pm
Yuck
September 12th, 2013 at 9:38 pm
I can understand why he named it “Wu-Tang Forever”. it’s only natural to want something hard for a title like that, But you are asking him to go hard like Wu-Tang does. He’s going hard the way Drake does.
September 12th, 2013 at 10:19 pm
It’s a wutang sampled track. He’s just showering love by naming it wu tang forever. I don’t understand why u haters come here to hate and talk ishh. Get a life.

Drake is the most overhyped artist in hip hop…WACK!
September 13th, 2013 at 9:28 am
Drake stykle will be played out in 3 years, just like Wayne’s metaphor rapping got real old to people 3 years ago.
It’s a shame, Drake has way to much talent to be this rap-singer. When that Young Mula mixtape dropped about 6 years ago, I told a friend a mine Drake would be huge. My friend tells me all the time I called it years ago; it’s funny because IMO his best album was So Far Gone. He hasn’t topped that yet.
Money and ego seem to change people up alot. I think Drake believes he is the new Kanye, and he is nowhere near as musically inclined or as creative as Kanye.
People need to learn to stick to the script, and continue being yourself. Not to say you can’t mature, but if really thinks a song like this – will keep people buying his album, he is wrong.
And if he thinks making songs for women only will keep him making $500K a show he will be disappointed.

Good One!
September 13th, 2013 at 10:03 am
The words Drake and Wu Tang should never been mentioned in the same breath smh #shuttersatthethought
September 13th, 2013 at 10:14 am

You sound like a 13 year old girl…. “lololol”
Having an opinion ≠ hate, dumbass.
September 13th, 2013 at 12:10 pm
So just give it credit on the f*cking album cover, like other artists that samples. Naming it Wu-Tang Forever is misleading and is just ‘name-dropping’ douche-baggery. Then again Drake’s been synonymous with douche-baggery lately.
That song more “Ja-Rule feat. Ashanti Forever”.
September 13th, 2013 at 12:13 pm
Not even. When he “raps”, this E.T. looking mark sounds like a robot.
September 13th, 2013 at 12:15 pm
co-signed.
September 13th, 2013 at 12:16 pm
Drake wants to add the “37th Chamber”… otherwise known as the Jungle Room at the Kew Motor Inn…
