Drake reacts to his Grammy nominations, “best gift I ever had”

Mikey: Sounding more like a Hollywood actor than rapper, Drake spoke to CNN about his two Grammy nominations and who he’s taking to the big show, “I’m a bring mom and we’re gonna sit together, it’s gonna be great. She’s hasn’t been out in a long time, so it’ll be good for her… get her a nice dress (laughs).” Before wrapping up, Drake added that he doesn’t feel any pressure to win but is just going to continue making music for his team and not worry about anything else. After the jump the Rap-Up also caught up with Drizzy to further discuss his Grammy nominations, and find out what Lil Wayne had to say… or what he didn’t have to say rather.

See I’ve got no problem with this dude representing hip-hop and it’s blossoming future. Go figure a talented young rapper with confidence on record yes, but humble in life. Someone who seemingly is interested in making music and not just making paper. Someone who’s cool on BET and on CNN no problem. Big things have already happened for this kid and I hope they only get bigger for him.
I’m calling it Drake out sells 50-cent’s entire first week in Drakes first hour LOL

The better rapper is an actor.
Seems like Drake’s rise was unavoidable. I have been hearing from friends, forum kids, G Dep filling up my gas tank at the Mobil station since 2006 that he was going to blow. I refused to listen. Who would of ever thought the Special Delivery guy was right?

I have to say that I am super impressed with what he has done in such a short amount of time. I mean just think this kid was just on Deggrassi and now he’s the rapper that all artist(not just rapper) wants to work with. I just hope the mass public doesn’t do what they do with all people thats on top of their game…. Try and cut them down for the fun of it. This kid is a Hybrid of r&b,rap,hip hop,and alternative music. What I want to know is where does he get his sound from cuz on So Far Gone man that was some crazy beats.
