The FADER Fort closed the final day of their SXSW 2016 showcase with a bang on Saturday (Mar. 19). Music lovers packed the outdoor tent in Austin, Texas as Drake and OVO Sound held an unannounced surprise show last night.

Continue after the jump….

The hour-long set was kicked off by the newest addition to the Toronto-based label, dvsn. The R&B act, who drops their debut project on April 1, made their first-ever public appearance.

Roy Wood$ also made his debut performance, going through cuts off last year’s EXIS EP. Taking a break from their world tour, Majid Jordan ran threw a few standouts off their debut album including “My Love” and “Something About You.” PARTYNEXTDOOR took to the stage soon after, running through modern R&B favorites off 2013’s PARTYNEXTDOOR and 2014’s PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO.

Originally intended to perform one song only, Drake got the crowd jumping with his radio smashes “Energy,” “Know Yourself,” “Jumpman” with guest Metro Boomin, “Back to Back” and his new single “Summer Sixteen.” “Views From The 6 coming in I don’t know how many weeks, so I hope y’all enjoy that shit,” said the Canadian superstar, who also confirmed a tour for the album due in April will also come this year.

Erykah Badu, Kelly Rowland, Hannibal Burress were all spotted taken in the OVO Sound invasion. Backstage, Drake was seen embracing Badu’s son Seven, and signing a photo of Rihanna’s FADER cover.
