Drake & Nicki Minaj Nominated For TIME Person of the Year 2015

It’s that time of year for TIME magazine, who just opened the voting for TIME Person of the Year 2015. Drake and Nicki Minaj hold it down for hip-hop in this year’s 58-person shortlist, while the likes of Amy Schumer, Stephen Colbert and Adele (whose new album has sold an astonishing 2.3 million copies in its first three days) also get the nod.

Aubrey picks up a nomination for his platinum-selling mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, defeating Meek Mill by unanimous decision and the viral success of “Hotline Bling.” Although Nicki didn’t release a new album this year, her outspoken commentary on race, gender and sexuality, along with her memorable VMAs performance and world tour, earns her a nod.
