DMX on Drake’s Involvement with Aaliyah’s Album: “Your Balls Ain’t That Big, Son”
Posted by Mr.North under interview , quotes[19] Comments
When it comes to interviews, no one’s more to the point and honest than Dark Man X. On Wednesday, DMX paid a visit to MTV’s RapFix Live for a one-on-one conversation with Sway. Among the topics they discussed was X’s thoughts on the new crop of rappers dominating the airwaves in recent years. DMX didn’t waste time expressing his thoughts on Drake, who he’s stated in past interviews he’s not a fan of.
“He has talent, but it’s kinda redundant, it’s kinda the same all the time to me personally. It’s an annoying sound,”
DMX went on to voice his thoughts on Drake overseeing Aaliyah’s upcoming posthumous album, plus the fact her close friends of Missy Elliott and Timbaland seem not to be involved.
“I’m kinda feelin’ some kinda a way about the fact that you been commissioned, that you been blessed, you’ve been given the opportunity to do the Aaliyah album yet you don’t include anybody that she worked with personally. I’ma tell you why I’m mad, son. How do you disregard what this woman did? What this beautiful angel did and say, ‘Oh OK, I’m gonna take it for myself because I’m hot right now and I’m feelin’ myself,’. How do you just go there with it? Your balls ain’t that big, son.”

Drake, doesn’t need to come after DMX,really, DMX’s is finished, Drake can still sell albums, X needs that attention, he’s like Beanie Seagie right now.. DMX’s career is over.

DMX’s career will never be over. His fans are from an earlier rap generation that still follow him. High or not he’s always truthful and puts his whole self in what he’s saying. He always makes sense and I don’t see any other rappers being so honest or ” keeping it real ” in any interviews. They always hold there tongue and only wanna speak about their albums, afraid to offend people from fear that they won’t get a collabo. X doesn’t do it for the record sales you can tell. Everyone else just wanna get paid!

kedo, this man needs help, if you don’t see it, then you my friend are not a fan. I was a die hard DMX fan before I was a Jay-z fan Loved DMX’s 1st, 2nd, and 3nd album, after that all his other work was trash. I use to argue with people back in H.S that “X” was better then Jay. This man has waisted his talant, just like Whitney Houston, don’t be surprised if his end is just like hers. And Kedo how many albums does DMX have, if your a fan?

This is hard to watch.I bet even Drake feels bad for X right now…whether X is speaking the truth or not its hard to take him seriously when he is in the condition he is in. It is really a shame

Cant be mad at DMX for speaking his mind. He’s saying what most artists probably would like to say but may be holding back because of the opportunity to work with Drake and make money. DMX worked with Aaliyah I didn’t and I still feel some type of way too because I was a die hard fan. He is absolutely right but money talks and people will shy away from the truth. Their are a lot of people on Drake’s d8ck right so they can whore it out like he did and make mad money!

DMX is a sad junkie.
if he was smart he’d be calling Drake up for a feature and making “What These Bitches Want Pt. 2.”

Smart-hes intelligent and doesn’t have to let fame and money make decisions for him first. He just has issues with drugs. His new music is real good. But the younger generations has been corrupted with all this ycmb junk and may not get his type of music.
