The Sean Combs empire grows. It was announced today that Diddy’s fledgling music channel, Revolt TV, has secured a national carriage agreement with Time Warner Cable. The deal will mark one of the largest launches in cable TV history. A “real-time, socially connected television network” which offers live performances, music videos, news and interviews, as well as talk shows and original series, Revolt TV will be available to all Time Warner Cable subscribers when it launches this fall. Says Puff:
This is a landmark distribution deal that demonstrates Time Warner Cable’s commitment to bringing a platform for music artists and fans to their subscribers. It positions Revolt to come out of the gate strong, and we look forward to igniting the passion of initial audiences across the U.S. With Time Warner Cable’s help nothing is stopping Revolt from becoming the new number one name in music.
Diddy called into Hot97 this morning to discuss his new deal. The mogul revealed that he aims to secure the rights to air future Hot97 Summer Jams on Revolt TV, which is part of his plan to make his channel the “ESPN of music.” The revolution will be televised.
