Diddy made his appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show last night a heartfelt one as he opened up about the death of his father, Melvin Combs. Despite passing away when he was just three years old, Puffy revealed he broke down over the loss of his pops for the first time five years ago, and spoke about the pain of growing up without a father figure to turn to for guidance. Diddy later went on to discuss raising his own six children.

I broke down five years ago for the first time about my father. Sometimes you feel like you can’t miss what wasn’t there, but when I needed to talk to an older man for some wisdom and guidance, it just broke me down, then I felt the loss.
