Longtime famed TV host and music industry pioneer Dick Clark passed away early this morning in Los Angeles following a “massive heart attack,” according to his agent Paul Shefrin. Reports say Clark was undergoing an “outpatient” procedure in St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif. Tuesday night and suffered from a heart attack following it. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Best known for hosting “American Bandstand” and the game show “Pyramid,” I’ll always remember watching him count down ’till the ball dropped on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.”
Hit the jump as we reflect on some of Dick Clark’s memorable moments on “American Bandstand”

Watch “Bowling for Columbine.” This guy was a plantation owner.
And I remember him in some show once, where he made fun of Snoop Dogg’s album name “Doggfather”… he made fun of it in a “nudge nudge wink wink” manner…
I’m not African American, and not white. I’m something else — just sayin’.
