The BET Awards 2012 just keeps getting bigger. The network announced this morning that D’Angelo will grace the stage at the 11th annual award show next month. It will mark the R&B soul singer’s first televised performance in over 12 years. D’Angelo joins a stacked lineup that includes Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Usher, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and G.O.O.D. Music.

This year’s awards extravaganza takes place on Sunday, July 1 live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. EST, hosted by Samuel L. Jackson.
