Mikey: Dame Dash recently sat down with MixtapeMonster and gave more details about what he felt went wrong with the Rocafella empire. He explains how he “spoiled” his artists, and his disappointment with the brand today, also breaking down his relationships and views on everyone from Kanye, Beans, Jay, Jimmy, and Cam. Obviously, there was alot of editing here, but Dame seems surprisingly honest about his true feelings and past dealings with his former/current peers. (props to MixtapeMonster via RR)

Dame Dash aka “Fresh to Death” the greatest phrase in the rap industry, ever. I miss him in music videos pouring champaign on the ladies and what have you. It’s too bad that Cam didn’t listen to Dame more b/c he could of been one of the better ones when it comes to being successful (he followed Dame’s business plan, but he did it half assed).

‘Reasonable Doubt’(Rocafella’s top selling album) and they(dame & Biggs & whoever had investments) couldve kept Rocafella Records

That’s why there was a 10 year anniversary to ‘Reasonable Doubt’

What did you do with the $30 mil, you got from cashing out?…I know you aint broke, but I am also aware your leverage position has been scaled back which is better from a business p.o.v, Just recently Devon Energy sold their overseas assets so they optimize on the return of their holdings, by extending new territories they weren’t able to compete with larger cap companies, because of the large investments required to optimize the extraction of the commodities in business….Thus by contracting their nature and flush with cash they can compete in a less leveraged market, and in a exquisite position, where all direct/indirect happenings do not correlate to your financial position…

There are taxes, there are more taxes and finally there are more taxes,(Fed, State, City) Dame got $30 mil from DefJam, he split with Biggs(Unequally!) and still had to pay taxes, which he didn’t, he ended suing his accountant….Jay didn’t get that bread, in exchange for his equity, he chose to own his maters after 10 years in…Everything after the Black Album….Up until Blueprint 3, where its a ROCNATION thing….So yes, Dame has problemas managing bread, he should have incorporated in Delaware, he could had paid less taxes….but with NO NY corporate charter…

Cosign that. I do feel there was some real talk here, but Dame was also being a revisionist because he damn sure knows that him making Cam the VP of Rocafella while jay was in Europe and his role in that whole Jay vs Cam saga was a MAJOR reason why Jay had to be “on to the next one.”

Jay-Z Scores First Number One Record
This is a Testament to having a great album opposed to just having a hot single. All jay-z albums have been solid and people buy it because of the body of work unlike other rappers who just focus on having two hot singles and the rest of the album is trash. Catch-up!

The early projections for 50’s album don’t look good.I got from one site 160-180 thousands copies.And if we go by radio play and singles sells, it might be within that projection.I mean, 50’s “Baby By Me” isn’t in the top 20 singles(It’s number 28).To put that in prospective, Jay has two tracks in the top 20, “Empire State Of Mind” at number one, and “Run This Town” at number 17.

Dame Dash is talking about other peoples’ failures? Dame Dash? Tell me this is a joke. It’s April 1st right? This guy who produced “Death of a Dynasty” and “Mr. Untouchable,” and did everything to promote Jim Jones (aka Jenny Jones) is talking about Hov? Brother Please.
Dame Dash is a talentless hack with zero self-awareness. So it’s easy for him to tell the greatest rapper of all time that he should have stopped rapping at a certain point — a point after which the rapper has dropped a whopping 8 number 1 albums … (yes losers — Jay has dropped 8 no. 1 albums AFTER the Blueprint).
Dame, if you’re reading this — here’s the scoop. You appeared in a video called “Wet Wipes” by Camron. The entire video was a Jay-Z diss. They even made a tranny play the Beyonce look-alike. And in that video, Dame is seen winking knowingly at the camera (while JJ Evans — the “ugly” Jay-Z look alike is sitting behind him).
So after that video, anything Jay did to Dame was perfectly fair game in my book. But Jay being the smart guy he is didn’t do anything. He didn’t have to 9/11 them. They did it to themselves.
Here’s the score.
– Dame Dash: Broke. Lost mogul status after a string of failures. All he does any more is bitch about Jay-Z and try to make another Hov with Jim Jones (aka Jenny Jones). Hasn’t spoken to childhood friend Camron in 3 years.
– Jim Jones (aka Jenny Jones): Broke. Has had one song hit in his entire life. Byrd Gang is a failure. Pray 4 Reign was a failure. Can’t rap to save his ass. Broken up with Camron. Makes garbage Autotune music.
– Camron: Broke. Failed rapper. Generates a meager income from a couple of seedy strip clubs he owns in the Cleveland and Cincinnati areas. Garbage human being. Beef with everybody. Thinks he owns “Dipset” and that makes him a mogul or something.
Looks like Jay won.
I can’t wait for Dame Dash’s new projects to fizzle. I want to see that guy choke on himself.

Dame is full of shit!!! He is more the reason why everything got fucked up at Roc-A-Fella. Cam & Jim broke up because they were heavily influenced by Dame’s ways. If he would have taught them better by example the Dips wouldn’t have turned out like Jay and Dame. I can’t believe how humble this nigga Dame is now. His arrogance is what made me quit Roc-A-Fella and never go back. When he had all them white people around him he did everything to belittle us black workers. I even made Time magazine but with the writer talking about how Dame was talking shit to me. That nigga deserve all this shit.
