With all the talk surrounding Yeezus, it seems like everyone forgot about that rumored Cruel Winter album for a minute. Big Sean, Q-Tip and Travi$ Scott all believe the project’s coming, whereas Common and Hit-Boy have shrugged it off as a “rumor.” Now, in a recent interview with Blogionista, CyHi The Prynce claims G.O.O.D. Music are looking to put out the follow-up to 2012’s Cruel Summer later this year:

We in negotiations with Def Jam. Sometimes they’re extra slow. We’re looking to put it out this year.

We all know how close the camp cut it with Cruel Summer (which arrived closer to fall than the sunny season last year), but given Kanye’s newfound responsibilities, we’re not exactly optimistic about deadlines being met this time around — if the project even is in the works. I guess Ye could always give Rick Rubin a call.
