Curtis Williams Two-9

Trinidad Jame$ and Migos have both rose to national attention in the last year or so, but if you’re looking for a new Atlanta rapper a little less one-hit-wonder-orientated, Curtis Williams is your man. He’s of the leading names in the buzzing Two-9 crew, and just released his new solo mixtape, Half Forgotten Daydreams.

The 15-track project probably isn’t what you’d expect to hear from a young ATLien; sure, there are hi-hat-rattling, paper-chasing anthems (good ones at that) like “Automatic,” but Half Forgotten Daydreams is more about sharp rhymes than catchy hooks (“Versace” what?) Better yet, it’s all set to one smooth, dreamy soundtrack.
