Cory Gunz

Yesterday, Rick Ross announced the title of his next LP as God Forgives, I Don’t.

However, hip-hop heads across the board couldn’t help but bring up that fact that Young Money emcee Cory Gunz has been working on a project with the same title for over 3 years.

“It was really a bit frustrating because I was really sticking with that title for a minute whether it was for the EP or album. But at least I should be honored that somebody who is at their pinnacle right now is thinking the same,” Cory told Sway and Heather B on Shade45 earlier this morning in regards to Ross’ swagger jack.

However, Cory held virtually no animosity toward the Miami based rapper.

“I fucks with Ross, I don’t have no problems with him. I judge off hot music. I don’t go on anything else. To me, he got some of the hottest mixtapes out right now, and he’s making good music regardless of what the situation is,” he continued. “I’m not bitter about the title, it happens all the time. Some of the best stepped on niggas necks to stay at the top.”

The rapper is currently working on two mixtapes Bring The Gunz Out and Sun Of A Gun for release later this year.

“Nicki Minaj is on the cusp of releasing her “Moment 4 Life” video, and the Queens native is celebrating 2011 in style — platinum style, that is.

Barbie’s debut album Pink Friday has garnered 851, 841 to-date, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The first official LP by the MC has gone platinum after just six weeks on the shelf and even Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, also released on November 22, has only sold approximately 30,000 more units than Nicki thus far.”

Pusha T talks about his New Years plans that went awry. More importantly, he went in depth about the vibe around his career since signing with G.O.O.D. Music. The album – which will feature production from Kanye, Swizz, Pharrell and more – is set to drop this fall, but in the meantime we can expect to see the Fear Of God mixtape next month. He promises it will be well worth the wait with old instrumentals, new ones and original production. To quote Pusha, he’s “taking that whole dynamic of the ’95 mixtape competitive spirit and just going in on everything.”

“The Virginia native proclaims none of the tracks from his mixtape will not appear his album and hopes this will expose him to fans from all walks of life. As far as the relationship with his brother Malice is concerned, they are “not breaking up” and he even sheds light on their recent touring in Australia and how much love they received. Lastly, he addresses why he has donned the name “Slander P.”
