Consequence Calls Pusha-T a “Worker” and Threatens To Beef w/ Kanye Until “Jay-Z Intervenes”
Posted by Mikey Fresh under beef , new music , quotes[50] Comments
How this Consequence vs. G.O.O.D. Music war manages to intensify by the day is beyond me, but the exiled rapper from Queens took time to fire right back at Pusha-T on the same radio station he spoke to yesterday in Chicago. There’s no other way to put it but Cons completely sh*ts on Push and Kanye… again. (Props To FSD)
“[Pusha] lyrically cannot compete and that’s the reason for the extra smoke & mirrors and the attempt at discrediting, Cons told WGCI. “You guys have a song in rotation that disproves everything he says. He said “Yo there’s nobody checking for me. I’ma tell you who’s checking for me Chicago, Beyonce’s checking for me.”
As you can see he took it a step further by bringing Beyonce’s into this and by default the other half of ‘The Throne” is now involved.
“You know why Beyonce’s checking for me? If you have the full album and you listen to song 5, it’s a record called “Party.” I’m performing the chorus on “Party,” and I also had a hand in co-producing “Party,” so I want Chicago to understand clearly, if you’re saying Beyonce Knowles Carter is a nobody then you’re disrespectful and you’re misinformed, and you’re disrespecting her fans by questioning her taste level.”
Cons calls Pusha a “worker” and brings Pharrell, Jay-Z, Rhymesfest, GLC and more in the mix…
Audio of the full interview and new diss song “Straighten It Out”…
all after the jump…
After proclaiming his dominance in rap, he goes on to belittle Pusha-T even more.
“As it stands right now I’m the most talked about commodity in hip-hop and I’m a go out and say it I’m probably the best pure lyricist in hip-hop and in music right now. And among the elite song writers in the game. Let’s be crystal clear about it. And I’m going to prove this by releasing the biggest blockbuster of the summer in the form of Movies on Demand 3.”
Let me tell you why Kanye West has never said anything to [Pusha] regarding our situation… because he’s a worker. He was jet fuel for Pharrell Williams and he’ll be jet fuel for Kanye West. He’s a live body. I said in “Plagurists’s Society” you aint nothing but a body shield, you’re jet fuel.”
And finally he brings Kanye’s oldest friends into the picture and says there’s one only person who can stop his “campaign of terror”
“He’s a only child who has a few brothers. One of his brothers is GLC, another one is Really Doe, another one is Rhymefest and another one is Consequence. And I’m a be real. I’m the brother who’s not gonna stand back and watch him do what he’s doing and be up to not good and not say anything.”
“This quote, unquote “campaign of terror” is going to continue until Jay-Z intervenes. When Jay-Z and Consequence have a gentlemen conversation this may come to an end.
Do I say they’re wrong for not speaking? No. I’m just standing up for myself.”

This just reconfirms my analysis from get go hes a “disgruntled former employee” that thinks by airing out his grievances publicly it will somehow give him poetic justice. The means don’t always justify ends.

People only bite the hand that feeds them once they realize the hand doesn’t have food in it anymore. It isn’t about fame its about principle. Consequence is pulling a publicity stunt I thought he had integrity. He sounds like a bitter kanye west ex-girlfriend, matter fact scratch that amber rose even moved on, hes beneath the ex status quo lol

Lol nobody in hiphop knows who consequence is or even following this situation, i’ve just started to pickup on this week story. i dont know who he is but it seems like he works behind the scenes and has wrote alot for big artist but unaccredited. anyways nobody is even paying attention to his little beef with kanye. thats probably why nobody is “Important” (pusha t is lame/irrelevent) is speaking back to him

Man, pull your skirt down. No one is, has or ever will be checking for Cons. Even he knows it. This is his sad attempt at tryna gain some relevance.
And the general public doesn’t even knowbhe co-produced “Party”. Hell, Bey prob doesn’t even know he co-produced that shit. Nor does she or the rest of us care.
I wouldn’t even know who the hell he was if it wasn’t for ‘Ye. His whole stint with Tribe doesn’t even count. Nigga caught a break cuz he was related to Tip. The fact that he was working a regular 9am-5pm before College Dropout proves how unimportant he is to this culture as a whole. And this nigga thinks Jay is going to have a convoy with him? Nigga, for what?
Get all the way the fuck out of here, bro.

EXACTLY what i just told my barber fam! Beyonce herself prolly had no clue who constructed that hook. Cons has been in da game for like 1000 yrs, worked with the best producers,co-signs from legends, got hella contacts (thats how he wiesel’d his way on the Bey track) AND STILL DOESN’T HAVE ANYTHING I OR ANYONE IN MY CITY HAS EVER KNOCKED! Im sure everyone here’s city as well. His ego is ridiculous! Pusha’s solo career is like a fucking mixtape long & shits on all over Cons efforts! So we’re not even gonna bring up his esteemed career as a duo! Cons had qtip, jdilla, busta, kanye everyone in his corner & still is a nobody!
Talkin bout Jay-Z better step in!…this the same nigga who’s pussy got all wet cuz Jay played him in connect four??? Twitpic’n it like it was the proudest moment of his wack ass career lol!

Interesting point. When it was poppin’ off with Beans and Cam, ‘Ye should’ve puffed out his waxed chest and got busy (with or without Cons ghostwriting help).
Cons as an opponent? Eh. ‘Ye and Tip might spank him on Tip’s “Last Zulu” joint.

ok, i mentioned this b4 on some other blog but come on Cons. You’ve worked with Q-tip, J-Dilla, and Kanye; and have how many memorable singles? Matter of fact, the anticipation for Movies on Demand or ConsTV was nowhere near that of Fear of God. And regardless, if Pusha never wrote another rap, he’d still be known for “Grindin” at least. Ok Cons, make another Kanye, since you are the genius behind his work too. Best lyricist in the game, not even the best in Queens.

For me to see ppl on here talking about nobody even knows who Cons is and all that nonsense really pisses me off.
Look I dont necessarily support his campaign against GOOD Music but I also DONT feel like he is doing it for some childish reason either. Cons has been in Kanye’s camp for a long enough time behind the scenes, this dude is obviously not somebody who craves attention or we would have heard him POP off at the mouth long before this. Kanye is 5 albums in and he is just now speaking out.
People say the best response is to put out good music but if Cons just put out good music alone not many people would hear it. Good music isnt the only answer, Cons probably feels like he has some good music in the can and the only way to get ppl to notice is to stir up some controversy by speaking out on his situation with GOOD Music and dropping a few disses here and there. And lets face it as much as u think he is crying for attention, the fact is that he has our attention right now.

this is efing great for hip hop! why is everyone so against a little battle. These guys are entertainers and in the state that hip hop is in we need any kind of spark. I want to hear someone get ripped, nasty at it. Lets stop hiding behind great production and lets the lyrical games begin! Like we dont follow these guys to hear interviews or hear them talk! you want to communicate and express your feelings lets do it thru rhyming verses. Leave it on wax!!!

i feel ya. competition and battling is in the essence of hip-hop. whining like a bitch, not so much. plus he was on before kanye & pusha t were. it just seems lame. 50 cent doesn’t even start trivial beef anymore just to sell an album. and to make it worse, i used to be Cons fan. I’m not mad at him for dissing Pusha or Kanye, but if you’re dope just be dope. While Tupac and Biggie were beefing, Biggie’s response was to keep dropping dope joints. Thats where Ja Rule lost in his battle with 50. He tried to fight fire with fire. He shoulda tried to keep pushing out platinum plaques. Not respond to someone dissing you.

Cons is a lame though. Dude been wack. He fucked up “The Chase Pt 2″ and has been pretty lackluster in general.
I’m not into petty beef unless the artist has some ILL track to spank the opponent with.
otherwise it’s pointless bitchassery

Kid Hood was Q-Tip’s true protege, but was murdered. Hood’s one line in Scenario Remix bodies Cons entire catalog. Hood was coulda shoulda woulda been rap legend. Cons was better off renegotiating his position at G.O.O.D. Music: retire from recording and accept a staff position like “VP of A&R”, signing talent – a better look than what he’s trying to pull now.
July 29th, 2011 at 2:33 pm
this is soo personal between ye and cons and its jus a case of “i did all that lend my hand in all ya successful records and when i need help wit my own records for you to push u no where to be found” cons is a good rapper and i think if kanye really push him like he did big sean and cudi he might of had a following but we really dont know the level of beef and hostility it is cuz cons wont really get into it until MOD 3 Comes out i really think he jus doing it to get a buzz which is a great plan … and if he really is one of the best lyrisist as he claims then this mixtape/album should be stamping point … if it flops then he has nobody to blame but himself …

The one thing that puts a hole in that whole “Kanye didn’t push Cons but he pushed Big Sean/Cudi” thing is that Cudi and Sean went and made hit records WITHOUT YE. Big Sean went hard on his own and Cudi had Day N Night before he got signed to G.O.O.D. Hell, Ye has only produced two joints for Cudi albums and none for Sean’s.

If you feel THAT disrespected I understand the desire to react BUT, Calling out all those other barely associated names is some gossip girls shit. Speak to who he have the issue with and stand up on that. Trying to bait Jay through referencing his wife? Even if the credits he claims are true, thats a risky move.
And this quote here stinks of so much self delusion it’s embarrassing.
“I’m the most talked about commodity in hip-hop and I’m a go out and say it I’m probably the best pure lyricist in hip-hop and in music right now. And among the elite song writers in the game. Let’s be crystal clear about it.”

Ha Ha Haaaaa @ this Guy. Following this story…Cons is a polite dude in person, but like another commenter said on here, “Ain’t no future in dissing ‘Ye….or Pusha.” Pusha gets busy with the rhyme bars, unfortunately Cons will be battling the air, cuz Pusha ain’t wasting bars on this and no really cares to see this escalate back and forth in mixtapes. Unfortunately, Mike Vick fucked up the dog fighting industry in the hoods, otherwise I would’ve suggested to Cons to go back to Queens and do that as a ‘day job’ or roll dice from 9am to 3pm.

I would be all for the whole, it’s a match up thing people are saying if Cons wasn’t so adamant in bringing in people who have nothing to do with it.
1) Why is he putting Rhymefest, GLC, and Really Doe in the middle of your beef/match/whatever we’re calling it? I have never heard them say anything about Ye so why does he feel the need to speak for them?
2) What is it with whole going at Pusha? Is it because Pusha is now the supposed number 2 for Ye at G.O.O.D? (A position Cons once held.)
3) What do Jay and Pharrell have to do with this at all?
Forget a disgruntled employee. Cons sounds like a jilted lover. I said it once, I’ll say it again. NIggas need to be their own man. This is not a BIG/Pac, 50/Ja situation, this is a Beanie/Jay, late 50/Game.
And sorry, using that Bey co write credit was weak. Because the only reason he got that co write was because Ye produced the track. Name a song in which Cons has writing cred where Q-Tip or Ye’s name is not attached some way. I like Consequence. But this is making him look bad because it’s so desperate. He knows that his time to blow is past him, so he’s going on on last suicide mission. Sad really.

As a man, Consequence big head ass has every right to speak on issues that pertains to him.
Just like Kanye big head ass publicly expressed his dislike for Taylor winning an award over Beyonce, which he had nothing to do with BTW, but felt in his heart it was necessary.
If Consequence has an issue with Ye regarding whatever, he has the right to tell his side of the story. If it were you, and something was done that you felt uncomfortable with, if you have the balls….You’re gonna address it.
This is about music, so let the diss songs begin, period. WDTHDigital.com

If you read between the lines, it is clear that Cons has been disappointed by the treatment he received under the Kanye camp. This only tells me that if he worked silently in the background he really had Kanye best interest at heart. But, fame can turn the best of friends into bitter enemies. I personally hope that this blows over and Cons can have an opportunity to debut as an artist out of the shadows. Should he have made the comments he made? Nah, probably not a good idea when you battle public opinion. But let’s face it we are all human and have been pissed at family/friends who we felt did us wrong. I work in the industry. The real Cons tries to scout and help talented aspiring artist who often get overlooked. He tries to connect people and actually is pretty humble on better days! Unfortunately, he didn’t take a chill pill and he let disappointment get the best of him on live radio! (Great for ratings!) I personally hope he stops being disgruntled and focuses on relaunching his career with the new album. Cons let the music speak for you and leave the beef at the grocery store.
